The window on the former barber is different, but it’s easy enough to believe that it’s still the same building (everything else looks right). They say the location is now a bakery, but as of 7/2018 the Half Brothers Brewing C ompany had replaced the bakery.

The building across the street is modern, which means that the clearly multi story building where the original photo was taken from would have been replaced as well.

I’ll try to join you for the GP this weekend. Last weekend I was so hungover I watched the race on my tablet while in bed. I’m glad I did but I wasn’t at my usual dual-screen setup to shitpost and watch racing simultaenously.

Roughly $36.50 adjusted for inflation. Not a terrible price for a hat, except of course when you consider that for that price today, it needs to be made for terrible wages in sweatshops in Asia, which probably means that in 1940 they were being made for terrible wages in sweatshops in the US.
